No new year's resolution here
'Cause promises just disappear
So I'll just grin from ear to ear
And be so glad for one more year
Perhaps I'll sit and have a beer
Just one and let me make that clear
And maybe I will volunteer
To help some needy folks 'round here
I'd like to keep it in low gear
With peace and good will the whole year
Don't want to be a brigadier
No trouble-making welcomed here
Though some may scoff and others jeer
Just have some fun this coming year
Above all else please persevere
May all your problems disappear
