Painful days past, more than a year
At rest at last, nothing to fear
I was downcast, then God came near
By men outcast, but God was here
Hated by men, slandered and lied
Time and again, honor denied
Remember when, God then replied
You too sinned then, and with much pride
Their sin was bad, and you were hurt
But I'm so glad, to reassert
In my notepad, your name insert
When you are clad, with grace not dirt
Rejected by church and family
Unwanted, ignored
At least it wasn't for blasphemy
I'm loved by our Lord
Thankful for a few friends who love me
No longer ignored
I'm freed from narrow theology
Free thinking restored
A Judas had stabbed me in the back
Hate is expected
This was a really viscious attack
Yes I'm rejected
The people love to hear smooth things preached
They don't want God's Word
But truth will come and they will be reached
Though lies they preferred
Rejected by family and friends
And selfishness which never ends
Even in church I thought I'd find
True friendship as God has designed
I found friends and a Judas too
A slanderer in the church pew
And others striving for power
In their own ivory tower
Some with their own theology
Claiming it's all mythology
But Jesus warned it would be so
A mix of wheat and tares, you know
So, life seems to be a battle
Many foes their sabers rattle
It's a fight to the very end
In the end we'll all comprehend
If you've repented as you should
And you have faith that God is good
Then blessings await all your life
And after that the afterlife
God is with you in all you do
God is He who has fought for you
God is Spirit; God is faithful
God is gracious and merciful
God is our refuge and our strength
He has decided our life's length
God gives us an inheritance
Let us praise His name with the dance
To Laodicea write this
The words of the faithful witness
The Amen who made everything
Who was there in the beginning
I know your works, not cold or hot
But sadly cold or hot you're not
So because you are just lukewarm
You'll soon be spat out, I'll inform
You say I'm rich in everything
Increased with goods; I need nothing
Wretched, and miserable, and poor
And you're blind and naked for sure
I advise you buy gold from me
Purified by fire, that's the key
Then you'll be rich, buy white attire

Who is God? Is He just a dream?
He is the One called Elohim
It means He's mighty, very great
All that exists, He did create
Told Isaiah, prophet of fame,
"I am Yahweh, that is my name!"
Self-existent, unchangeable
I am who I am, Eternal
God is light; no dark in the Lord
His Word is like a two-edged sword
Good and perfect gifts from above
He provides for the birds in love
The heavens were made by His word
Gladly the common people heard
The Word made flesh who dwelt with us
The way to life He did discuss
Xmas is not X-ing Jesus
From Christmas at all my dear friend
How did such a notion seize us
For that X did from Greek descend

So really there is no stigma
And of respect there is no loss
The ancient abbreviation
Is similar to the Chi-Rho
And no evil alteration
For Chi looks like our X you know
Rejected for preaching that the Bible is true
Rejected for believing a different view
Rejected for just being hungry and thirsty
A stranger, naked, sick and in prison unfree
Rejected, slandered and lied about in a church
Rejected as they sought his good name to besmirch
Rejected by the world but to Jesus stayed true
And at His Second Coming the truth will come through
From heaven God's wrath is revealed
Against all godlessness afield
And the unrighteousness of men
Suppressing truth time and again
Since what can be known about God
Is plain, made obvious by God
For since the world was created
His power has been demonstrated
Clearly seen by all that He made
And excuses don't make the grade
Although they knew God they did not
Honor or thank Him as they ought
Futile thinking was just the start
As darkness soon entered their heart
They claimed to be wise but were fools
Worshiping idols made with tools
God left them to their shameful drives
Degrading their bodies and lives
Exchanging God's truth for a lie
To serve things not God they apply
Abandoned to vile affections
Women in shameful connections
Men lusting after each other
Men having men as a lover
Despising the knowledge of God
And depravity spread abroad
Going through the valley of the shadow of death
Is such a concern that I'm just holding my breath
Yet, I can see that there's plenty of grass to eat
But high to the rocky mountains I won't retreat
Because right here the Lord has prepared me a feast
And He's here so I won't be afraid of the beast
And way up high in safety there's nothing to eat
So I will thumb my nose at the devil I meet
Because God is here and He's prepared me a feast
In the midst of my enemies my faith's increased
I'm not looking at the predators all around
I'm looking at Jesus Christ in whom life is found
