What is that awful ghastly breed
What is their heretical creed
Show them no mercy though they plead
Their breed the common garden weed

Rapaciously they live on greed
Aggressively they sow their seed
The gardener must surely heed
'Cause weeds grow just like a stampede

There's thistle, ivy and ragweed
With sorrel, kudzu and bind weed
That's why weeding must proceed
Until good plants are fully freed
