Rest in His Love

We're tired and certainly need rest
From politics and all the rest
From telemarketers oppressed
From all the bad news we're depressed

From health care costs we're dispossessed
From high crime rates we are distressed
We sometimes claim that we are blessed
While popping pills because we're stressed

Rest in the Strong Arms
of Jesus

We posture and we beat our chest
We claim we're better than the rest
But none of that can pass the test
Our situation is assessed

There is no doubt we all need rest
The place to start must be addressed
'Cause Jesus said to the oppressed
Just come to me I'll give you rest
