One burden that will make us fret
A big delusion and a threat
Where slavery is alive yet
That overwhelming pile of debt
To start a venture is a bet
Our hopes and dreams they must be met
As business gross fails business net
And so we sadly land in debt

Impatiently we want to get
When our desires are just not met
A credit card and we're all set
And then we face the mounting debt
Instead of saving we forget
How awful is that monthly sweat
And when we're down we do regret
That we got suckered by big debt
