Along with Myanmar today
The last three stuck in the old way

Twelve inches is a foot they say
And three feet make a yard okay
And yards to make a mile today

The old system's a disarray
It makes no sense for it to stay
It's time for independence day
For metric is the modern way

The meter it is here to stay
The kilogram is here to weigh
Divide by ten as I survey
