A myth I now wish to dispelIt doesn't matter how we spell
So color with a "u" do tell
Is simply a chromatic swell
Some orthographic personnel
Say let's reform the way we spell
But phonemes differ where we dwell
We don't pronounce the way you'd spell

If we all spoke just like we spell
Whose dialect would then outsell
So may I say mademoiselle
If you insist you must impel
Your way and say that we misspell
Then most of us will just rebel
