Simplify your Life

I'd heard some say that less is more
I thought that would make life a bore
When I was young I wanted more
I didn't know more was a chore

So soon we filled most every draw'r
And added to our home decor
With things from the department store
Competing with the folks next door

Soon we had things stacked on the floor
For empty shelves we had no more
The lack of space we did ignore
Though we had less room than before

To simplify is civil war

As space we now try to restore
I wish life was just like before
When we had less and less was more
